Audit of Accounts Notice of Appointment of Date for the Exercise of Electors’ Rights Notice Pursuant to Sections 30 and 31 of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004
Copies of the accounts of the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council for the financial year ended 31st March 2022 will be available for inspection at the Finance Department, Civic Centre, Castle Street, Merthyr Tydfil from Friday 5th August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022 (daily Monday to Friday) between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. (4.30 p.m. on Fridays). Any interested person may inspect and make copies of the accounts and all relevant books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts.
On Monday 5th September 2022 at 9.00 a.m. the External Auditor, Audit Wales, will at the request of any Local Government Elector for the area of the Council, give the Elector, or his/her representative, an opportunity to question the accounts, and any such Elector or representative may attend before the Auditor to make objection to any of the accounts.
Prior written notice of any such objection must be submitted to Derwyn Owen, Audit Wales, 24 Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9LJ. At the same time, a copy of the notice must be sent to the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council at the address shown below.
