Audit of Accounts Notice of Appointment of Date for the Exercise of Electors’ Rights Notice Pursuant to Sections 30 and 31 of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004

Copies of the accounts of the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council for the financial year ended 31st March 2024 will be available for inspection at the Finance Department, Civic Centre, Castle Street, Merthyr Tydfil from Monday 27th January 2025 to Friday 21st February 2025 (daily Monday to Friday) between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. (4.30 p.m. on Fridays). Any interested person may inspect and make copies of the accounts and all relevant books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts.

On Monday 24th February 2025 at 9.00 a.m. the External Auditor, Audit Wales, will at the request of any Local Government Elector for the area of the Council, give the Elector, or his/her representative, an opportunity to question the accounts, and any such Elector or representative may attend before the Auditor to make objection to any of the accounts. Prior written notice of any such objection must be submitted to Mike Jones, Audit Wales, 1 Capital Quarter, Tyndall Street, Cardiff. CF10 4BQ. At the same time, a copy of the notice must be sent to the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council at the address shown below.
