Answer

1. The only sites that are currently available where no terms have been agreed are:- i) Former Steelworks Site, Penywern (Dowlais Reclamation Scheme) – shared ownership with Merthyr Council and Welsh Government ii) land at Bradley Gardens, Incline Top which is currently being marketed by Alder King. N/A 4. Our internal procedures state that where land is of interest to more than one party it should be offered for sale on the open market unless a prior Cabinet approval has been obtained to deal directly with a single party. A direct sale would usually happen where it can be demonstrated that it contributes to the economic, social or environmental well-being of the area and/or supports a corporate priority of the Council. 5. We are continually reviewing our land holdings and, at present, the sites included in response to this part of the query are shown below. Whilst these are not currently being actively worked on, we hope to bring them forward over the next few years. Some sites would be marketed whereas others wouldn’t. We also own other land which wouldn’t fall in the “development” category.
