Answer
1. What funding is Merthyr Tydfil Council designating towards the wellbeing of teachers and schooling staff in your local area?
We’re not aware of any funding allocated to this purpose at an LA level.
2. If possible, could you please send me a relevant name/email/contact number of someone in charge of mental health within schools in your local area?
Andrea May customercare@merthyr.gov.uk oversees the Whole School Approach to Wellbeing but there isn’t a named LA lead for mental health in schools.
3. What funding is being designated to schools, specifically for student wellbeing in your local area?
The WSAtW grant is used in working with schools as well as the Counselling contract but this funding is not designated to schools it is used at an LA level.

Number of schools = 19 Primary, 3 secondary, 1
special and 1 3-16, total = 24
Formula funds = 447.75 teachers
