Any planning applications received for tree works can be found using the search function on the MTCBC website: https://publicaccess.merthyr.gov.uk/online-applications/ The number of trees currently registered with Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs): “Trees subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) within Merthyr Tydfil Local Planning Authority boundary are categorised as either ‘Individual’, ‘Group’ or ‘Woodland’. It is not possible to provide an exact number of trees protected by TPOs for the whole Authority because the number of protected trees in larger groups/areas and woodland is not recorded.
