14. When developing/purchasing/selling a site, how do you verify that the boundaries are correct?
If there are fences or walls on the site, we will refer to those if they are to be the extent of sale. These are usually visible on ordnance survey plans/aerial photography.
If it is a building, the physical structure often dictates boundaries.
Ad hoc parcels of land with no defined boundaries, particularly where only part of the land is included, we use tape measures or request assistance from our Engineering Team who have additional surveying apparatus. Boundaries are often agreed on site with purchasers.
For sites we are developing, our contractors would refer to ownership records provided to them and use their own technology to transpose this to CAD plans etc to advise their survey proposals.
15. Do you have any public cycleway schemes coming up in the next 12-24 months?
The authority has one scheme proposed to be developed next year for active travel. We have not been made aware if our application for funding for delivery of this scheme has been successful and are unlikely to know before April the 1st.
