The following products currently being used in schools contain nitrites as a preservative: • 1932 Premium Sliced Cooked Ham 500g • 4852 Sliced Back Bacon Medium 2kg • 31542 Sliced Back Bacon 1kg (primary only) • 1943 Sliced Back Bacon 500g (primary only) • 10919 Hertford Corned Beef 2.72kg (comps only) • 99519 Hertford Corned Beef 340g (comps only) 2. The types of meat are detailed above. These are procured via our nominated supplier, who are currently working on removing / reducing nitrates as a preservative.
