I am interested to learn how much money has been spent by you each year since 2021 and including spending proposals for 2025 (relating to LGBTQ+). Please can you provide me with the total expenditure by your local authority firstly for Pride month since 2021 (including money allocated for June 2025) and secondly all other spending commitments in relation to all matters LGBTQ+ since 2021. Finally have any cost-benefit analyses been carried out in regard to this expenditure?

I am interested to learn how much money has been spent by you each year since 2021 and including spending proposals for 2025 (relating to LGBTQ+). Please can you provide me with the total expenditure by your local authority firstly for Pride month since 2021 (including money allocated for June 2025) and secondly all other spending commitments in relation to all matters LGBTQ+ since 2021. There are no specific spend commitments identified as there is no dedicated equalities budget. Money that has been spent by the Local Authority through core spend since 2021. Pride Month in June • Attendance at Pride Cymru Parade. This is as part of our Proud Councils network with other Local Authorities so we all share the cost (includes 2025) - £410 Other LGBTQ+ spend • Merthyr Pride stall (2023 & 2024) – £200. Merthyr Pride is not being held in 2025. • Merchandise - £760 Finally have any cost-benefit analyses been carried out in regard to this expenditure? A cost benefit analysis has not been undertaken regarding this expenditure. There is no dedicated equalities budget so there are no specific spending commitments. However, we do ensure that as part of our Proud Councils network we work together to champion LGBTQ+ rights in our Local Authority areas and attend the Pride Cymru Parade annually. This cost is split between the Local Authorities within the network.
