• Do you collect data on LGBTQ+ identity from applicants for homelessness services? Yes – Sexuality is now a mandatory field. However, there is an option to click ‘ Prefer not to say’. • Please can you share a copy of your intake/point of entry form and the questions it asks of applicants when they present as homeless (.pdf / word doc format if possible). MTCBC does provide specific guidance to staff regarding the collection of data during homelessness applications. This guidance is part of our broader privacy notice for homelessness and housing application forms, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation, including GDPR. Staff are instructed to collect personal descriptors, including information about sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and other personal details. The data is collected to provide appropriate support and services to individuals applying for housing or experiencing homelessness. All collected data is handled with strict confidentiality and use only for the intended purposes.
