If yes: a) What are your eligibility criteria for provision of community profiling beds? b) How are they provided, e.g. via your local community equipment service or through a direct arrangement with a contractor (I am only interest in the mechanism of provision)

Re: Provision of social care funded community profiling beds across Wales and have the following questions: Do you provide community profiling beds? If yes: a) What are your eligibility criteria for provision of community profiling beds?- Criteria for a bed is primarily functional. So it is to either promote independence and safe transfers in and out of bed, support a provision of a care package for care to be provided safely for both service user and care staff/equipment being needed. Beds are not provided by the Local Authority for a health related issues, sleeping, positioning, skin integrity or comfort due to a health condition so this would be signposted to health teams. b) How are they provided, e.g. via your local community equipment service or through a direct arrangement with a contractor (I am only interest in the mechanism of provision) – These are provided by vision products community equipment service ordered via our online prescriber system.
