The information I request is as follows: Teachers 1. How many primary school teachers have been suspended from their posts during 2023, 2024 and 2025 (please note the information relevant to each year, instead of a total for all three years)? 2. Of those suspended teachers, please confirm ho many were suspended for (i) under 6 months (ii) 6-12 months (iii) 12-18 months (iv) over 18 months 3. Of those suspended, how many were dismissed as a result of the decision of school governors 4. Of those suspended, how many were dismissed by other means 5. Of those dismissed, how many took the matter to and Employment Tribunal 6. Of those that were dealt with by an Employment Tribunal, how many were settled 7. Of those that were dealt with by an Employment Tribunal, how many remained dismissed 8. Of those that were dealt with by an Employment Tribunal, how many were successful (i.e. the Local Authority failed to make their case, the Tribunal found in favour of the Teacher) Pupils 1. How many children were excluded permanently during 2023, 2024 and 2025 (please note the information relevant to each year, instead of a total for all three years)? and; a How many of these children or their parents/guardians were involved in a Discipline Committee Meeting? b. How many of these meetings resulted in a change of outcome? 2. How many children were temporarily excluded during 2023, 2024 and 2025 (please note the information relevant to each year, instead of a total for all three years)? and; a. How many children were subject to unlawful exclusions during 2023, 2024 and 2025 (please note the information relevant to each year, instead of a total for all three years)? and; a. of the children unlawfully excluded, please confirm the outcomes for the school, i.e what steps were taken in relation to the school and governors as a result of unlawful exclusions 4. In relation to the answers to 1, 2 and 3 above, how many of these matters proceeded to a tribunal (i.e application made to a Tribunal by any of the parties involved) 5. Of those that proceeded to a tribunal, how many of the exclusion decision made by schools and governors were found to be incorrect (how many Tribunals found against the school/LA/governors) 6. Of those that proceeded to a tribunal, how many were settled before a final determination by the Tribunal? Governors: 1. How many of the school governors in the schools in your local authority were found not to have declared or fully declared a conflict and what steps were taken as a result?

When a governor has not completed mandatory training steps taken Notify governor that they are out of compliance with relation to mandatory training, inform them of future training dates and remind them that the chair of governors can suspend them for a period of six months or until training completed. Notify the chair of Governors a governor has not completed training, notify them of dates of future training and notify them of the regulations regarding suspension from the GB should they not complete the required training. 4. How many school governors in the schools in your local authority declared a conflict before, during or after their appointment? 0 5. What steps are taken when a conflict is declared? Where an interest is declared in a particular area of governance the governor would remove themselves from the meeting for that discussion / consideration 6. How many of the school governors in the schools in your local authority were found not to have declared or fully declared a conflict and what steps were taken as a result? Nil
