I would be grateful if you could provide the following data relating to young people completing Year 11 within your local authority area.
For each of the following academic years:
• 2018/19
• 2021/22
• 2024/25
Please provide:
1. The number and percentage of Year 11 leavers recorded as:
• entering school sixth form provision
• entering further education college
• entering apprenticeships
• entering employment
• recorded as NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training)
• recorded as “destination unknown”, “activity unknown” or equivalent category
2. The number and percentage of secondary-age pupils recorded as:
• persistently absent
• severely absent (if held)
for each academic year above.
3. The number and percentage of pupils completing Year 11 without achieving:
• GCSE English/Welsh at grade C or equivalent and above
• GCSE Mathematics at grade C or equivalent and above
(or the current equivalent performance measures used by the authority)
4. Copies of any internally produced reports, summaries, dashboards or presentations held by the authority since January 2023 relating to:
• post-16 participation
• NEET trends
• destination tracking
• persistent absence
• school disengagement among secondary-age pupils
