Question
Could you please provide the current number of licensed taxi and private hire drivers in your licensing area, broken down by gender (male and female)?
If possible, please provide the most recent figures available.
Answer
The Council currently has 225 licensed taxi and private hire drivers.
The licensing system cannot provide a breakdown of licensed drivers by gender. Consequently, the Council does not hold recorded information indicating how many licensed drivers are male or female.
Therefore, while the total number of licensed drivers is 225, a gender-based breakdown cannot be provided.
