Cwestiwn

1) Does the Council offer a specific scheme (separate to UK Government Funeral Payments and the Welsh Government's Children's Funeral Fund ) to assist families with the costs of paying for a funeral? 2) If yes, could you provide details of the scheme.

1) The Bereavement Services department don’t offer such a scheme. However we waive all fees for children’s burials. Public Health do have the responsibility for Public Health funerals (once called pauper’s funerals) but this is where no family members exist to pay funeral costs so it’s not intended as a way to assist families of the deceased financialy. 2) N/A
