Question
Regarding each cemetery your council manages and/or owns, could you provide the following information 1) Do you have any rules or regulations regarding maximum coffin size for burial (width and length) and if so what are they? 2) Do you have any rules or regulations regarding maximum burial plot size (width and length) and if so what are they?
Answer
1) We are only restricted by the size of the plot which is 7ft by 3ft 2) A standard plot is 7ft by 3ft so we are restricted by that. If we receive a request outside of these parameters then we’ll try to accommodate in another area of the cemetery but we can’t guarantee a plot on that basis
