Please can you answer the following questions. I understand that if necessary I may request this information under the Freedom of Information Act but that Government guidance encourages local authorities to provide answers to questions such as mine as a customer service without the enquirer needing to resort to a formal request. I hope therefore that this request can be answered without the need for invoking the Act; However, should it not be possible to give me a reply without doing so please consider this a request for information under the Act. I refer to André Manuel Arruda Caetano de Matos, also known as Andre Matos, of Merthyr Tydfil, trading as a dog trainer, and also trading under the company name of Autism Support Dogs UK as procurer and supplier of support dogs for people with autism, and to Royvon Dog Hotels and Training (hereafter known as Royvon), operating as a dog boarding and training establishment from Incline Top, Merthyr Tydfil, and elsewhere. As I understand it Mr Matos and Royvon are professionally connected. 1. Has Mr Matos or any other party operating from the premises of, employed by or operating on the behalf of Royvon ever had a license to breed dogs? If so please give details - i.e. who holds/held the license, date/s of licenses held, number of dogs bred, number of dogs possessed. 2. Does Mr Matos possess any other licenses relating to animals and if so what are they and for how long has he possessed them? If he possesses a license/s are there any restrictions or conditions attached to them? 3. What licenses relating to animals and animal welfare are possessed by Royvon and in whose name/s are these licenses held? Are there any conditions or restrictions attached to these licenses and if so what are they? 4. Have there ever been any complaints lodged against: i. Mr Matos or ii. Royvon as a company or iii. Any persons connected with/employed by Royvon in respect of animal welfare or environmental health, including but not exclusive to, dog boarding, dog training or dog breeding. If so what are these complaints, about whom and when were they made and what was the outcome of the Local Authority's investigations?` 5. When was Royvon's premises last inspected by the Council and was was the extent of and outcome of that inspection? 6. Notwithstanding the presence or absence of any licence is the Council aware of any dog breeding carried out by Mr Matos or any other person connected with or employed by Royvon? 7. Is the local authority able to tell me from where Mr Matos obtains the dogs which he then sells as autism support dogs?
