3. a. We are aware of ISO 20121 and various guidance and toolkits available for sustainable waste management at events such as WRAP`s Resource Management Plan toolkit.

4. We do not hire independent companies to manage waste at our events. However for events in parks contractors have to provide recycling facilities at large events

The most successful way of managing waste at events is the employment of staff to monitor the waste/recycling collection hubs or containers to ensure that recyclables are deposited separately according to material type. Provision of adequate containers and collection methods are also key points. Litterpickers at events are provided with 2 bags in order to keep the waste separate from the recycling.
