Reusable Garden Waste Sack (Green)
Product Information
Overview
The seasonal kerbside garden waste collections service will end on Friday 27 November 2026 and resume on Monday 29 March 2027. Green garden waste is accepted at the Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) year round.
Garden waste can still be taken to the HRCs at Dowlais and Aberfan year-round.
Your seasonal garden collection is usually on the opposite week, but same day as your wheeled bin collection, however, there are exceptions to this so you can check your collection day or contact Wasteservices@merthyr.gov.uk
Collections will then be fortnightly from your commencement date.
We will collect a maximum of 9 bags of green waste on your collection day.
Garden waste collected separately is sent to a local facility and turned into compost. This compost is used as a soil improver for numerous groundwork projects, transforming areas into a habitat for wildlife that is aesthetically pleasing.
Your support in this service helps divert this useful resource from landfill and energy from waste and provides a good quality, useful product.
