Refund Application Form

If the Refund is for a Joint liability all liable parties must complete an application (Otherwise we will only pay 50% of the credit until confirmation is received from all parties).

If you do not hold a bank account please nominate someone to accept payment on your behalf.

Accounts where the liable person has passed away will be made payable in the name of the “Exors of”. However, an appointed person can be nominated where proof of Grant of Probate or a Will has been provided.

Refunds are made, based on the information present on your account at the point of application, if after the refund has been made your liability changes you may be issued with a revised notice indicating that a further liability is due.

If you have another account with Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council that has an outstanding debit balance, this credit will be used to offset that.

Refunds will only be made by BACS and may take up to 21 days to be processed and show as cleared funds within your bank account.
