At State Pension age you may no longer be required to pay National Insurance Contributions but the Payroll Section will need to retain a copy of a document that gives proof of your age, e.g. a birth certificate or passport. Once the original document has been sighted and copied it will be returned to you. If you are over the age at which you can claim your State Pension then please attach proof of age.

If statement C is ticked then you should be put onto tax code BR (cumulative), which means that all the earnings paid to you will be subject to Basic Rate income tax.
If statement D is ticked then you will be given a tax code 0T (non-cumulative), which means you won’t get any tax allowances and will pay tax at Basic Rate, Higher Rate and the Additional Rate (if applicable due to your earnings).
