Change of end of school term arrangements for next week

Following the Ministers announcement yesterday and considering the increasing number of classes needing to isolate, there has been a change in the provision for schools across Merthyr Tydfil next week:

  • All secondary schools and Greenfield School will be closed from Monday 14th December but will be offering face-to-face sessions for identified vulnerable learners and keyworkers until Friday 18th December
  • All primary schools will close on Tuesday 15th December but will offer face-to-face sessions for identified vulnerable learners and keyworkers until Friday 18th December. 
  • Information on the emergency childcare provision for keyworkers and vulnerable learners will be sent out by schools.
  • The PRU at Ty Dysgu and Special Tuition will remain open for learners until Friday 18th December.
  • All pupils attending schools during the week will be asked to bring a packed lunch and eFSM payments will continue to be paid through the direct payment system until week ending 1st January 2021.
