The result of the Dowlais & Pant By-Election, held on Thursday 25 June 2026, is as follows;
Plaid Cymru – The Party of Wales: 125 votes
Reform UK: 160 votes
Welsh Conservatives: 11 votes.
Wales Green Party: 20 votes
Welsh Labour: 356 votes
Nick Meaney (Independent candidate): 215 votes
We can officially announce that Dean Barrett of Welsh Labour has been appointed as a Councillor of the Dowlais & Pant ward.
We can confirm that there was a 18% voter turnout.
