Can I park a non-EV in an electric charging parking space?
No, not if there is signage that states, “EV Parking Only”, these bays are for the use of electric charging vehicles and any non-electric vehicles will be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) with the maximum penalty being £70.
Can I park an EV in an electric charging space and not use the charging facility?
No, not if there is signage that states, “EV Parking Only”, these bays are for the use of charging an electric vehicle. PCNs will be issued for those electric vehicles parked in an EV bay and not charging.
Will I have to pay for parking while charging my electric vehicle?
If the car park is a pay and display car park, then you will need to pay to park your vehicle while charging otherwise you will be issued with a PCN. Please refer to the tariff for the relevant pay and display car park. If you park up to charge your vehicle outside the tariff period then parking would be free
How do I dispute a PCN?
