The green garden waste kerbside recycling service is a free service which provides fortnightly collections of garden waste between April and November. We will collect a maximum of 9 bags of green waste on your collection day.

Garden waste can be recycled at the Household Recycling Centres at Dowlais and Aberfan year-round.

Garden waste collected separately is sent to a local facility and turned into compost. This compost is used as a soil improver for numerous groundwork projects, transforming areas into a habitat for wildlife that is aesthetically pleasing.

Your support in this service helps divert this useful resource from landfill and energy from waste and will help the local authority meet recycling and composting targets set by Welsh Government.
