Lane closure at Penry Street for emergency works

National Grid currently have a 11,000-volt cable fault on an integral part of a cable network, which serves customers between Merthyr Town and Pentrebach.

The cable fault has been located on the junction of Penry Street so to repair the fault an emergency lane closure is required to assist with the excavations and ensure a safe working area is provided.

The lane closure will be in place from 7pm on Friday 12th April to avoid peak times.

The attached traffic management provides the alternative diversion route.

The repair work is expected to be completed on Sunday 14th April.
