A landmark event celebrating the success and achievements of Community Focused Schools (CFS) brought together partners from across Wales.
Held at the Orbit Centre on March 14, the conference spotlighted the vital role schools play at the heart of their communities.
With inspiring contributions from Welsh Government officials, educational leaders, community partners, and local initiatives, the event celebrated collaborative progress and unveiled new approaches such as the Florida Model and the innovative CFS Padlet platform. Their collective efforts exemplify the spirit of collaboration that lies at the heart of Community Focused Schools.
Anna Williams-Price, Portfolio Member for Governance and Resources said;
“This is an exciting initiative and it’s fantastic to see the work going in across the county borough to support children and families and embodying the principle of the ‘Raising aspirations and Raising Standards Strategy’ and our corporate Wellbeing plan which has at its heart an aspirational Merthyr Tydfil Focused on learning.”
This conference marks a pivotal moment in strengthening education and community links across Merthyr Tydfil and beyond.
