Premises Closure Order for property in Twynyrodyn

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council in conjunction with South Wales Police today obtained a Premises Closure Order at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court relating to 46 Gilfach Cynon, Twynyrodyn, Merthyr Tydfil.

The order was obtained under Anti-Social Behaviour legislation concerning nuisance at the premise from male callers persistently visiting for sexual purposes. The action was brought as a result of concerns raised by the community. The order will make it a criminal offence for any persons to enter the property for a 3 month period.

Paul Lewis, Head of Protection and Safety at Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council states “Through our effective Community Safety Partnership we were able to respond to our communities concerns and take prompt effective action to close the property.”
