Pupils use Welsh language skills outside the classroom

Children from Bedlinog, Trelewis and Edwardsville took part in the second of two events at the John Sellwood running track aimed to give then confidence in using the Welsh language in a fun way.

Thanks again to the children from Ysgol Rhyd y Grug who helped with announcing the events run in conjunction with yr Urdd.

Angharad Jones, the Council’s Welsh Language Officer, said: “It’s good to see all children enjoying themselves and having the opportunity to use their Welsh language skills outside the classroom environment.”

“A very big thank you to staff at Afon Taf High School for helping us host this event which we are hoping to build on in the future.”
