'Recognition of Excellence' awarded to School Catering Department

We’re delighted to announce that Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council’s School Catering Department scooped up the prestigious Recognition of Excellence for the Welsh Government Food in Schools Award.
The Local Authority Catering Association (LACA) Awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday 26 October at Vale Resort Mid Glamorgan, aims to recognise individuals and teams who continue to make a real difference in education catering.
Councillor Michelle Jones, Cabinet Member for Education said;
“I am really proud of this achievement from our dedicated and hardworking School Catering Department here at Merthyr Tydfil CBC.
“It’s great to see their commitment to always delivering the best quality and service is being recognised and we can sing their praises with this impressive award.
