Road Improvement Programme: September – December 2026

During September-December 2026, Merthyr Tydfil CBC has allocated an estimate of £350K towards our Road Improvement Programme.

Proposed Carriageway Resurfacing

• Twyncarmel Main Road – Cyfarthfa
• High Street – Trelewis
• Upper High Street - Bedlinog
• Section of Avenue De Clichy – Town
• Gresham Place – Quakers Yard (junction area)
• Hillside Close – Aberfan
• West Grove – The Quar

Footway Renewal

• Gethin Street – Abercanaid (one side)
• Darren View – Penyard (one side)
• Trevethick Street – Penyard
