Spring into action & clean up Merthyr Tydfil!

Communities in Merthyr Tydfil are being urged to join Spring Clean Cymru 2025 and help pick up the litter that blights our local environment.
We are working with environmental charity Keep Wales Tidy to support Spring Clean Cymru. Together they are calling on individuals, families, community groups, schools and businesses to get involved between 21 March and 6 April.
The #TaffTidy will take place 21 March with clean ups in Merthyr Vale, Pontypridd and Cardiff. Our rivers shouldn’t be litter highways, so join us to make a difference!
Spring Clean Cymru aims to raise awareness and encourage positive action. Not only does litter cost Wales roughly £70 million to remove each year, but it also has devastating effects on marine and local wildlife. The good news is that litter picking is a simple action that anyone can do to make an immediate and visible difference to their area.
