We kindly ask that residents avoid Cardiff Road in Quakers Yard as it remains closed. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we work to ensure the safety and security of the community.

School Closures
Greenfield Special School will be closed Monday 25 November 2024.
Sandbags Update
We have an extremely limited amount of sandbags available. Our officers are assessing the critical areas and delivering to them as quickly as possible.
We are urging any residents who want to best protect their homes to please purchase them from local building merchants.
Flooding Rest Centres
Aberfan Community Centre and Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre are open for residents to use if they need to evacuate their homes or need support during a flooding emergency. The centre also has warm refreshments available.
