Taxi and private hire drivers urged to find out about new tax check

From April, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is introducing a new tax check that must be completed when taxis and private hire vehicle drivers renew their licences.

 The new check, which will be required from 4 April, will not include any calculations. It simply confirms a driver is registered for tax on their licensed taxi or private hire vehicle income.
