Griffiths have been undertaking Active Travel Improvements to A4102 Bethesda Street in Merthyr Tydfil on behalf of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and will shortly be undertaking the final surfacing and white lining works to the carriageway.

To undertake these works, a temporary road closure will be in place on A4102 Bethesda Street between the Avenue De Clichy/Quarry Row traffic lights and Cyfarthfa Road traffic lights over the course of 5 consecutive nights starting on Monday 4th April 2022 between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00.

Access to and from Chapel Banks will be maintained on the evenings of 4th and 5th, however on the evenings of the 6th, 7th and 8th, vehicular access may be limited due to tarmac laying activities. Should any journeys need to be made during these evenings, we advise that vehicles are parked outside of the closure before 20:00 hours. There will be traffic management operatives in place at either end of the closure to guide any traffic. Pedestrian and emergency vehicular access will also be maintained at all times. There may be some noise disturbance and all works are weather dependant.

A diversion route will be in place during the works.
