Update on Aberfan & Merthyr Vale Community Centre

Following the statement that the Council issued last Wednesday, 24th April, The Chair of Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Trust responded to our requests to meet to discuss the future of services at Aberfan & Merthyr Vale Community Centre.

The Council is now awaiting a final, signed copy of the management agreement to be sent to us to allow us to open the building safely and legally. This is likely to be tomorrow morning, so unfortunately this will mean a slightly delayed opening tomorrow, Wednesday 1^st May 2024.

We will provide an update as soon as we have one.

It has been a challenging few months and we are delighted to be closer to a resolution for the staff, service users of the centre and the community of Aberfan.
