Vetting of Contract and Supplier Staff
There are a number of essential pre-employment checks that are completed before an employee can commence duties in their new post. These include the completion of a:
- Criminal Records Bureau check and;
- Medical Questionnaire
It is essential that these checks are made before commencement of duties. It is also necessary for all application forms to provide the names and addresses of two referees and also details of any relevant qualifications. Contracts of employment are issued subject to the satisfactory completion of the above.
A register is kept for ‘Supply Teachers’ for supply cover in both Nursery and Primary schools, anyone wishing to apply to be included on this register should contact the designated Clerical Assistant on 01685 725199 for an application pack.
The above pre-employment checks are again required, however the applicant will be required to pay for their own Criminal Record Bureau check.
Please note that as there is no provision for portability of CRB’s, a new check will be required even if the applicant has a current CRB completed by another organisation or Local Authority.
