Elective Home Education is the term used to describe when parents/carers educate their child at home instead of sending them to school.
What next?
Once the Elective Home Education (EHE) team is informed that a parent/carer has decided to home educate their child, a member of the team will make contact with you to discuss your plans and to offer support and guidance.
What if my child has Additional Learning Needs (ALN)?
If your child has Additional Learning Needs (ALN) you have the same right to educate them at home, but you must ensure an efficient education is provided that is suitable to their age, ability and aptitude.
