Support for Pupils Learning English

There are a number of children in schools across the Local Authority for whom English is not their home language. Our Team works closely with schools to welcome new arrivals, support children with their language acquisition, carry out initial assessments of need, monitor progress, support pupils in schools and advise teaching staff on teaching approaches.
