The EAL Base

The EAL/GT Base at Ty Dysgu Dowlais is a fully equipped suite where pupils who are new to English or in the early stages of language acquisition can receive intensive language support. We also welcome Traveller children where they receive support with basic skills and well-being.  The Base is a useful stepping stone for pupils returning to education, easing them back into learning. Plans are in place to use the Base for drop-in sessions for parents, where they can participate in activities with their children, share experiences and celebrate their cultures.
