If you don’t have a garden an allotment is a great opportunity for you to grow your own fruit, vegetables or flowers. There are other benefits like getting fresh air and exercise, meeting people and making new friends. So if you've ever fancied trying your hand at gardening why not rent an allotment plot.
The cost of renting an allotment will depend on the plot size and is determined by the committees that manage the site.
|Allotment Site||Size (Square Metres)|
|Blaen Dowlais (North)||955|
|Blaen Dowlais (South)||2,330|
|Cefn Ponty Capel||1,019|

PLEASE NOTE: Allotments in the Borough are now self-governing and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council no longer control them, although, the Council does contribute annually towards some of the allotment associations throughout the Borough.
