Memorial Trees
Memorial trees are a beautiful and lasting way to remember loved ones while enhancing the natural beauty of our community spaces. We welcome donations of memorial trees from the public for planting in various parks across the County Borough.
You may also choose to include a small plaque with an inscription at the base of the tree.
To request an application form, please submit a general advice enquiry via our Report It page. We will then send you the form or contact you directly.
Once we receive your completed application, we will provide an approximate cost—typically £300.00. Payment must be made in advance. If your application is accepted, we will contact you to arrange payment before planting. Please note that no tree will be planted without payment.
Planting season runs from October to April.
Please be aware that floral tributes, pots, toys, or other memorial items must not be placed at the base of or hung on memorial trees. The Council reserves the right to remove any unauthorised items.
