Parking Permits
The Council have introduced a number of on-street residential permit schemes which are reserved for nearby residential properties.
The schemes allow, 24 hours permit parking and enforcement which is the responsibility of MTCBC. As a result, any vehicles found parked in these locations, without a valid permit can expect to be issued with a fixed penalty notice.
Residents of the streets specified in the scheme can apply for a permit using the forms at the bottom of this page.
These permits cost £34 each. Restrictions on the number and types of permits which are available do vary from area to area. Entitlement details can be found on the application form.
When sending your application form please include the following:
- Cheque for the appropriate fee – made payable to Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
- Residents Permit - A copy of your vehicle registration document, an insurance cover, please note the document must include the residential address valid to the scheme and the vehicle registration
and/or; - Visitor Permits – Proof of residency e.g. rent book, electricity bill
