Events offer an opportunity for us to promote Merthyr Tydfil in a positive light and further enhance our cultural offer. This requires that our policies and procedures in relation to event management are robust, enforced and support the delivery of our wider aims.
This page applies to:
- Events being held on outdoor Council land
- All events involving road closures in the County Borough
- Events on private land that require input from the Event Safety Advisory Group (ESAG)
The Events Policy is a useful tool for event planning and will ensure that events are organised and executed safely and in alignment with Merthyr Tydfil Council’s aims and objectives.
