Business support and advice – property enquiries

Within the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil there are a diverse range of sites and properties for business looking to start up in the area or expand from existing premises.

Whether you are a new investor into Merthyr Tydfil or someone who knows the area well, you will be surprised at the range of land and accommodation available for all types of use.

After more than two decades of strategic planning and land reclamation by the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil and its public and private sector partners, some 41 hectares of land is now available, with bespoke premises being continually developed.

East Merthyr has been the subject of a major land reclamation scheme, bringing sites to the fore for a range of business and industrial uses.

Sites have also been developed at Rhydycar, Georgetown and Cyfarthfa, incorporating state of the art leisure and business facilities.

Such sites include Pant (Dowlais), Dragon Parc, Abercanaid, Pentrebach, Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Village and the Orbit Business Centre. There is plenty of commercial property available in the thriving centre of Merthyr Tydfil as well as outlying areas.

The area has Assisted Area Status, attracting the highest level of European Funding through Convergence, to help local people and inward investors with an eligible business or community project.
