I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information. I am after information relating to the number of potholes in your jurisdiction. In particular, are you able to provide me with: 1) As of 1 June 2025, how many reported potholes in your local authority area were awaiting repair (i.e. logged but not yet filled)? Please provide the most up to date figure. 2) How many miles of road in your jurisdiction are currently listed as GREEN, AMBER or RED in line with the RCI Index? Please provide the latest data you have in miles. 3) Based on current repair rates and available resources, what is your estimated timescale to clear the entire backlog of reported but unrepaired potholes as of 30th June 2025? Please provide an answer in months or years. If your database works under a Fiscal Year calendar, please provide figures to the corresponding fiscal years. Please provide the data in an excel document with separate columns for each year.
