Question
1. How many public electric vehicle charge points does this council currently own or operate? This includes those managed through Charge Point Operators (CPOs). This can also include privately-owned electric vehicle charge points that are open to the public during certain hours or days, thereby necessitating compliance with Public Charge Point Regulations. 2. Are all the public electric vehicle charge points in Question 1 compliant with the current ‘Public Charge Point Regulations’? If not all, then how many are compliant? 3. What steps have been taken in the past year (August 2024 – present) by the council to ensure compliance with the current ‘Public Charge Point Regulations’? 4. Has this council experienced any challenges in the past year (August 2024 – present) when working to comply with the current ‘Public Charge Point Regulations’? From 24 November 2025, all public charge points must offer payment roaming according to the Public Charge Point Regulations. This means that all public charge points must be connected to at least one third-party roaming provider. Public charge points that are free to use are not within the scope of this requirement. 5. Of your current number of public electric vehicle charge points in Question 1, how many currently offer payment roaming services? 6. If not all of them, are plans in place (by yourself or your CPO) to connect them to a roaming provider by November 2025? 7. Of your current number of public electric vehicle charge points in Question 1, how many of them are free to use? ‘Free to use’ means anyone can access them without restriction, and no payment is required.
