Christmas lights and switch-on events in 2024 1) Total amount spent on Christmas lights and related switch-on events (including set up, decor, safety, breakdown etc) Installation cost of Christmas Lights was £20,000 including all electrical and safety tests 2) Total amount spent on lights, trees and decorations £15,000 was spent on purchasing new lights. 3) Total amount spent on event stewards, public safety and security This cost is not covered by MTCBC, We Love Merthyr pay for the Christmas Lights Switch on Event.
