I am requesting the following information on youth workers held by your local authority: 1. How many youth and community workers does your local authority currently employ? (Please provide a headcount number) 2. Does your local authority utilise the Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC), the National Joint Council (NJC), a combination of both, or an alternate framework for the grading and payment of youth and community workers? To clarify, we define community workers as any role that works among the people of a particular area to promote their welfare. In regard to question one of our request, please can I clarify that we need a headcount for any worker in your council that works with you or the community. These roles do not need to have the specific job title of ‘youth and community worker’. Some role title examples are ‘community wellbeing officer’ or ‘community engagement officer’ or ‘youth engagement officer’.
