I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. • What charging increases have been introduced for householders and on what type of waste between November 2015 and December 2016? • What charging increases or restrictions have been introduced for commercial customers (businesses) and on what types of waste between November 2015 and December 2016? • How many recycling centres and tips have been closed between November 2015 and December 2016? • Have opening hours of any recycling centres and council tips changed between November 2015 and December 2016? • How many hours per week, on average, were recycling centres and council tips open in your council area between November 2015 and December 2016? What were those usual opening hours? • How many hours per week, on average, were recycling centres and council tips open in your council area between November 2014 and December 2015? What were those usual opening hours? • Did you charge for the collection of garden waste between November 2015 and December 2016? If so, how much? • Did you charge for the collection of bulky waste between November 2015 and December 2016? If so, how much? • What waste did you charge for and how much was the charge before November 2015? • How many incidents of flytipping have been reported to the council between November 2015 and December 2016? • How many on the spot fines have been issued for flytipping since the new powers were given in May 2016 to December 2016? • How much money has been made from on the spot fines for flytipping between May 2016 and December 2016? • How many prosecutions have there been for flytipping and waste crimes between November 2015 and December 2016? • How many people have received jail sentences for flytipping or waste crimes between November 2015 and December 2016?
