Consultation: Merthyr Tydfil Town Centre Placemaking Plan

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has commissioned The Urbanists to review and update the existing Placemaking Plan for Merthyr Tydfil town centre. The consultation aims to ensure that the wants and needs of the community are considered and reflected in the development of the updated Placemaking Plan.

What is a Placemaking Plan?
A Placemaking Plan provides the means to set an agreed place vision for the town centre that is supported by stakeholders and shaped by the knowledge of local experts (businesses and residents). The Plan can then be used to deliver investment that enhances diversity and resilience and increases vitality. Placemaking Plans aim to ensure that all aspects that make a place great for living, working and visiting are taken into account.

Why are we undertaking consultation with the community?
